Financial members of Australian Sailing affiliated clubs, participants in Discover Sailing Centre courses and SailPass holders are covered.
The age limit is 90 years old, however other age limits apply to certain benefits.
These include:
Medical Expenses that are covered by Medicare (including the Medicare Gap) are not covered by the Personal Accident policy. This would include:
Private Health Insurance would be the required to cover these expenses.
Yes. This is a non-Medicare expense and is covered within the overall category limit of $5,000
Yes. The policy provides up to $850 in Physio costs
(Refer Policy Endorsements for eligible benefit payable per visit).
Yes. The policy provides up to $5,000 benefit for an injury that results in broken bones.

Yes. The policy provides up to $5,000 benefit for Dental treatment.

Full Time Students may be eligible to claim Student Tutorial Expenses.
Other Non-Income earners may be eligible to claim domestic help and/ or child minding service.
An event or activity that the club organises. This could be a race/ regatta under the Racing Rules of Sailing; other on-water non-sailing activities; or shore based events that have risk management plans and are approved by the club committee/ board.
All club volunteers are covered by the policy while undertaking unpaid voluntary work authorised and under the control of the Insured club. This includes on water roles (Race committees, safety boats etc) and shore based (clubhouse maintenance, canteen etc)
Direct, uninterrupted, travel to or from an insured activity is covered by the policy.
Policy benefits are limited to 20% for injury occurring during travel to and from; unless the mode of transport used is aboard a vessel registered to participate in an Australian Sailing affiliated club sanctioned race.
You will be covered while training or practicing for an affiliated club sanctioned race that you are entered/ registered to participate in.
No. This policy does not cover individuals when engaged in recreational (non club organised) boating activities.
No. Overseas Cover will no longer be provided by the policy.
If you are competing in an overseas sailing event, please contact Network Marine who can assist with arranging Travel Insurance that will include your sailing competition activities.
Yes. The Group Personal Accident program is intended to provide whole-of-sport protection, where all insured persons receive the same minimum insurance entitlements.
However, if you would like to increase your personal insurance above the minimum policy benefits, including Overseas travel, Life Insurance or Income Protection; please contact Network Marine and we will assist.
